Brisbane, you gave 5012 Miracles!
5012 people will regain their sight
5012 families have been changed forever
On August 25, 96five and generous listeners like you, partnered with CBM Australia for their annual Miracles Day, and saw 5012 of the worlds poorest given the miracle of sight!
With your support we helped bring sight to people like Quin. Nine -year-old Quin injured his eye when playing with sticks, causing a trauma cataract. Luckily Dr Nahn, who was trained as an eye specialist by CBM partners, was at the hospital when Quin arrived and was able to quickly diagnose a very dangerous and complicated cataract case.
If not for the quick actions of his parents, and his CBM-trained doctor diagnosing his trauma cataract, Quin would have lost his sight.
Your gift of $32, has allowed thousands of operations like Quin’s to be carried out, restoring not just sight – but futures, income, dignity and providing hope in some of the poorest communities in the world. Cataract surgery can also give children the opportunity to go to school for the first time, and can release their families from the need to continually provide care and instead earn an income to break free from poverty.

Thank you Brisbane!
