Miracles Day – It’s A Wrap

This year, 96five listeners made more than 5200 Miracles happen, that’s 5200 people’s lives you have changed and given the most amazing gift – to see again.  Not only have you restored the miracle of sight to individuals and families living in the dark, but have, in turn provided the invaluable element of hope to some of the poorest communities in the world.

96five’s Ken, Nicky and Steve and Luke & Susie were guests of CBM and travelled to Vietnam to experience the miracles first-hand.  In catching up with Steve Lanzon on his return to Australia he explains how impacted he was, that $32 could have such a profound, life changing effect.

“For such a small, little part of your everyday life, you have completely impacted another family,” Steve said.

“If you could see these people, the way they were living in Vietnam with the limited resources they have in their lives. They were happy people with [an] enthusiastic and positive outlook on life – and they couldn’t even see!”

“You’ve restored one person, a family, a street, a community – and that’s what we’ve always said here at 96five: is if you can build one strong person that gives a family hope – it gives a street hope, a community and a country – that’s what it’s all about, helping someone out”.
