The Brissy Brekky Club is officially underway with our first live broadcast at Lawnton State School!
96five proudly supports the work of chaplaincy through our Chappy Chats podcasts and we’re excited to expand our partnership with Scripture Union and highlight the work of chappy’s in Brisbane schools.
The inaugural Brissy Brekky Club was held at Lawnton State School and it was great to connect with students, families and their chaplain Scott.
Scott is now in his second year serving at Lawnton State School but he became a chaplain almost 15 years ago because he wanted to make a difference in kid’s lives as well as in the community.
“I think kids need to have stable role models” Scott shared with 96five’s Ken and Nicky during The Brissy Brekky Club.
“They need to have people who care about them and show them that they matter, that they’re important and that there are great amazing things that they can be part of.”

Scripture Union (SU) School chaplains provide a safe, positive influence for children and young people in crisis, and those who just need a friend. They also provide support for staff and parents in school communities.
Right now, SU chappies are serving more than 400,000 Queensland students and 96five is proud to come along local chaplains through The Brissy Brekky Club.
