Come Together in Faith and Unity at the 2025 Lord Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast

Now a longstanding tradition on the city’s calendar, the Lord Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast draws together church leaders, community figures, and people of faith from across Brisbane to pray for the city, its leaders, and its future.

96five is proud to be the media partner and a gold sponsor for the annual breakfast, now in its 19th year.

This year’s keynote speaker is Greg Sheridan, one of Australia’s most prominent journalists and commentators.

As the Foreign Editor for The Australian, Greg has reported on global affairs for over 30 years and is widely respected for his insights on international politics and diplomacy. He is also the author of several acclaimed books, including God Is Good for You, Christians: The Urgent Case for Jesus in Our World, and Christianity with Power.

The event is held at Brisbane City Hall on Thursday 5th June, 6.45am for 7.30am commencement.

The ticket price includes a hot plated breakfast with fruit and pastry accompaniments, and continuous tea and coffee. Ticket sales close 12.00 noon, Thursday 29 May 2025, or until sold out.

Paid-parking is available under King George Square or in other locations such as The Myer Centre and Wintergarden. If travelling by train, Brisbane City Hall is a short walk from both Central Station and Roma Street Station. Alternatively, King George Square Busway Station is located directly outside Brisbane City Hall.

The breakfast is a wonderful opportunity to connect and pray with members of Brisbane’s vast church community.
