His songs have touched the hearts of millions around the world and with 2 decades worth of songs to choose from, Jeremy Camp’s ‘I Still Believe Tour’ is going to be massive.
Jeremy Camp has sold nearly 5 million albums and has five GMA Dove Awards, one Grammy nomination, three American Music Award nominations to his name. In 2010, Jeremy was named Billboard’s #2 Christian artist of the decade and his powerful story of faith after his first wife Melissa passed away from cancer in 2001, has been recorded in his memoir and movie, ‘I Still Believe’.
After a highly successful spring and fall 2022 tour in the states and a Canadian tour in fall 2023, Jeremy Camp is extending his I Still Believe Tour by visiting 9 cities in Australia and New Zealand. The I Still Believe Tour, named after the hit song, will feature all of Camp’s top hits.
96five’s Ken and Nicky caught up with Jeremy Camp to find out what we can expect at the Brisbane show, held on Wednesday 15th November.
“You’re going to see everything from 2002 album to 2023, you’ll have a mix of the whole thing” Jeremy said.
“You have, of course, the rock songs. We’re doing a little acoustic set where we kind of bring out some old songs, you know, old school and have a little conversation time. It’s just a full night of getting to know who I am and sharing the songs that God has given me throughout 22 years of playing.”
Jeremy Camp’s journey has been full of highs and lows but he shared how he feels compelled to share the hope he has in Jesus.
“There’s a Bible scripture that I love, and it says that we’re called to comfort others before we’ve been comforted. And I think knowing that God has given me such comfort during hard times and, you know, going through the loss of my wife to cancer and so graciously walking me through that, being with me every step of the way. I want to be able to share that same hope that I’ve been given.”
“When I feel like I want to give up and I hear story after story from people who have shared how God has used the songs or used a certain concert I play, that’s why I do what I do.”
“If it has purpose, and it’s actually affecting people’s lives, then I’ll keep doing it.”
