Benjamin has been a long-time member of Hillsong’s globally recognised and 11 x Dove Award-winning band UNITED, touring with them extensively over the years and writing some of their biggest hits including Highlands and So Will I.
He released a 25-track self-titled album in 2022 but has recently released Benjamin William Hastings (And Then Some) which holds a whopping 39 tracks.
96five’s Tim Bain caught up with Benjamin to hear about his experience as a solo artist, what praise really means and what it’s like to tour with a young family at home.
“God doesn’t always move the mountain but he does promise to be the shepherd that will get you to the other side” Benjamin shared.
“I can actually take comfort in the fact that just because something doesn’t go my way, it doesn’t mean you’re not with me.”
Benjamin’s album Benjamin William Hastings (And Then Some) is out now.
