It strikes the perfect balance between sweetness and tang, making it a must-have in your kitchen. Use it as a dipping sauce for crispy chicken tenders, sweet potato fries, or fresh vegetable sticks. It also works beautifully as a dressing for salads, roasted vegetables, or grain bowls.
Need a sauce for grilled meats and fish? This one adds a deliciously creamy, flavorful touch. Honestly, you can drizzle or dip almost anything into this!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (125ml) mayonnaise. A basic egg mayonnaise can be used as a base to make sauces and dressing. Check out my healthy mayonnaise here.
- 2 1/2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp honey or adjust to your taste. It’s best to buy local unprocessed honey as it has wonderful health benefits and can help with allergies.
- 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
- A generous pinch of fine sea salt, & ground black pepper. Celtic sea salt or pink Himalayan salt is my salt of choice as these contain healthy minerals and trace elements that our body needs. If you choose to use regular table salt in my recipes you will need to reduce the quantity or the end result will be too salty.
Directions
- Add all ingredients to a medium bowl.
- Whisk until fully combined and smooth.
- Taste and adjust the flavors—add more honey for sweetness or mustard for extra tang.
Store in a glass airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks.
Serve as a dipping sauce for crumbed chicken fillets, nuggets, sweet potato wedges, or delicious poured-over steamed vegetables or salad.
