Duncan Barlow – Sharing Our Story

In this message Duncan Barlow explores how we can share our faith through the story from John chapter 4.  This is more commonly known as the story of Jesus meeting the woman at the well.  You can listen to Duncan’s message in the audio player below.

The woman at the well is a Samaritan woman, and Duncan uses this story as an example of sharing our faith through the way Jesus engaged with her.  To start with Jesus meets this woman where she was at, and breaks the societal norms of a man not speaking to a woman.  He was also uncompromising as to who he was, so we need to keep the focus on Christ,

Duncan Barlow is the minister of both the Laidley and Hatton Vale Uniting Churches in the Lockyer Valley.  Along with his wife Alison and their two daughters, he moved to Laidley in October 2018 to serve as the pastor of Laidley and Hatton Vale Uniting Churches. Duncan and Alison grew up in Brisbane but have worked in a variety of locations including Sydney and Indonesia.

Duncan regards it as a great privilege to share God’s word and help people to understand and apply it to their lives. He also enjoys connecting with people, walking beside them in their life journey.
